GC Aid

Global Connections in Mission has for some time considered the need to set up a separate trust in order to better assist the humanitarian aspects of our Christian Brethren mission partners work. For more than 100 years, large amounts of money has gone into building orphanages, schools, hospitals and providing relief for those caught in a disaster.  We have now applied, through the Charities Commission, to the Inland Revenue Department for tax deductible status as listed under criteria and are currently still under the process for this to happen.

Ways you can be involved with are listed below.

Objects and Purposes

GC Aid has been set up especially to aid in transformation of communities and individuals within and outside New Zealand, including (but not limited to) all or any of the following:

  • Relief of suffering
  • Disaster relief
  • Health service
  • Educational services
  • Economic aid
  • Micro business enterprise development

 

GC AID will:

  • Partner with government and non government agencies overseas and in New Zealand to provide humanitarian assistance
  • Assist groups and individuals to develop partnership with appropriate aid projects
  • Provide appropriate skills, expertise and support as required
  • Visit various projects to monitor their progress and appropriateness and report as required
  • Provide humanitarian relief to areas affected by natural disasters and work through appropriate channels to deliver aid
  • Work to transform communities and individuals and provide holistic development for such communities and individuals
