2008 Interns

Eddie Best   I was born in Hamilton in 1982. I grew up in a Christian home along with three siblings - all girls. I shifted north to Whangarei in 2003 and attended Clark Road Chapel, quickly getting involved with both the Youth Group as well as the kids club. While there I took on a lawnmowing business with my Uncle. Two years later I crossed the ditch and worked in retail as well as being involved with Hillsong Church in Sydney, which was an awesome experience. I returned in May 2006 and worked in car sales for 12 months. This year I have spent building and laying foundations for houses while continuing my involvement with youth ministry at Clark Road. I particularly enjoy the outdoors - anything invovling a gun, fishing rod or motorised equipment. I also regulary run a touch rugby outreach on Monday nights during daylight savings.

Emma-Lee Peake Emma-Lee is joining our Leadership Team as an Intern in 2008. As one of our Gappers from the previous year she brings experience and understanding of how things work to her role in leadership. Emma-Lee comes from a strong Christian family and has three brothers and two nephews that she adores. Emma-Lee grew up in the Waikato and attends The Church At Te Awamutu. Since leaving school in mid 2005 she has tried her hand at a variety of jobs, including motorbike service technician, Fitness instructor and Pharmacy assistant. Emma-Lee also has a strong heart for mission and has done since her first visit to Cambodia in 2005 with her parents, and more so since the Headspace offshore ministry in Thailand in 2007.  She will return to Cambodia in January 2008 , returning just in time for the new Headspace Gap year to begin. Emma-Lee brings a richness of cross cultural experience that will be a real asset to the team.
