Tropical storm Ketsana struck the Philippines causing 747 fatalities, with more than 400,000 displaced and staying in evacuation centres, as well as widespread damage and destruction.

There were about 20 Assemblies affected by the flood.  Key groups associated with the Christian Brethren Churches in the Philippines coordinated the process of relief distribution to the affected churches or family members from the Assemblies.

Thank you to all those who donated to the relief work in the Philippines. The money given has been distributed between Roger and Julie Dahlberg (New Hope ministries), ECPM who work alongside pastors in the area and Christian Missions in the Philippines.

In December 2011, the Southern Philippines suffered another devastating typhoon and in February 2012 a 6.9 earthquake struck.  Workers on the field value prayer as they help victims recover and rebuild their lives.  The overwhelming needs of the grieving and homeless give a great opportunity to be ambassadors for Him.
