calling200WHEN GOD TUGS ON OUR HEARTS TO SERVE HIM, WE'D BETTER LISTEN AND DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.

It goes without saying, obedience is a key response to a fulfilled Christian life. Stepping out in faith and dependence on God is an exciting, yet sometime challenging, journey.

Living and working in a cross-cultural environment is never easy, being often fraught with significant issues and misunderstandings. It is therefore very important that you have a clear call of God and a strong 'home base' to provide the care and support you might need.

That is an important part of the fellowship your local church can provide, and why engaging with your church leadership is an early important step in that process. It is vital to build a partnership with them that is modelled foremost on biblical principles, but with an over-lay of common sense as well.

We are about enabling your conversations and interactions together to be robust and meaningful. That is why we have developed a resource to help that happen that draws on the experience of many people over a long period of time. We've entitled it, 'Is God calling you? Our Commendation Process.'

In it we have conversation starters and questions in four important areas – personal; spiritual; field ministry and support. These enable you and your church representatives to address issues and arrive at an informed position as to what the relationship between you will look like. There's an overview of the biblical basis for commendation and an explanation of what that means in today's world. And we've included templates and flowcharts that encapsulate our policies for listing you in our Daily Prayer Guide. People have told us it is a helpful resource.

I’d love to walk beside you as you navigate your way to reaching people for God cross-culturally. Our response includes sending the Commendation Process booklet to your church leadership and walking with them too if that is required.
