2011 Interns

Hey! I’m Cherry van Noppen, a Headspace Intern for 2011.  I was a Gapper in 2010, and swore I was never -ever- going to do the Headspace internship. But God must have decided I still had things to learn through the programme, and He brought me back for another year. I have lived in a lot of different places:  Katikati, Orewa, Auckland, Owaka and even a two year stint in Israel on mission with my family. Most recently I’m from West Auckland where I lived until I went on Headspace.

True to my big happy homeschool family background, I’m a housewife at heart and love crochet, cooking and chatting. I enjoy the internship because it gives me the opportunity to spend time with amazing people, stretch my brain through studying theology and develop practical skills like catering and managing people and events. I am on Headspace because I want to love God completely and I am passionate about encouraging other young people to love Him as well.

Hi I'm Ashley, just a bit about me...I'm originally from Invercargill but have spent the last four years living in the North Island-mainly in Hamilton. I first came up to do Headspace as a Gapper and have stayed up this way since then to pursue studying Linguistics and Human Development. During this time I have worked in a restaurant and as a support worker for intellectually disabled people, the latter being a job I absolutely loved. Now of course I am returning as an Intern and am very excited about what the year ahead has in store for everyone.
