Chris & Sheri, PNG would like you to pray for them as they get ready for returning back to New Zealand. There is a lot of packing and organising to do. Chris also has to hand over his responsibilities to his replacement. It will be a very busy month and a bit.

Also please pray for the Christian Books Melanesia bookshops over the pre-Christmas period. There tends to be an increase in the activity of criminals' around this time. The Lae Christian Bookshop was robbed twice in 2 weeks. Pray for protection for the staff and the shops.

Peter & Annette, Thailand, give thanks to God for a good time at home for Annette chairing board meetings for MMM International and spending precious time with parents. Their church in Chiang Mai holds a big Thanksgiving celebration for the wider community. The spiritual key point of the programme will be two grumpy old Brits (cheerful young Brits in real life) complaining about life in Chiang Mai and life in general. They will then be trumped by various folk from the audience testifying about the many things for which Christians give thanks to God. Pray please that this will be an effective communication device for the spiritually diverse outdoor audience pining for their pumpkin pie.

Richard & Nancye, USA write: Please pray for Julio Lopez currently in Guatemala who is having health issues.  On Thursday he is to see the doctor for further tests to see the nature of his problems and the treatment needed.

Ossie will be visiting Papua New Guinea for two and a half weeks (Nov 17 – Dec 6). He has been invited by Kos Umion to assist him in several areas of forward planning. Ossie will link up with Kos and Barrywan Tuwai (Dec 2-5) to run a CBC Leadership Development Conference in Port Moresby. Please pray for safe travel, good health, divine wisdom and God-honouring outcomes during this time. Jenny will not be going on this visit.

Neil & Philomena, Thailand write:

Neil has 2 tears in his shoulder muscle. He is wanting to avoid surgery if possible - too disruptive - so is going through intensive physio. Please pray for healing.
Work is very busy coming up to the end of the semester. Philomena is giving a psychology related presentation this Friday to a large NGO, please pray as she prepares and presents.

Jude, Kenya writes: We would again appreciate prayer for ministry visits from the 12th to 26th November with visitors from the UK.  During this time we will be visiting existing and potential ministry partnerships in Kenya & Uganda.  Please pray for good visits which will create deeper mutual understandings and insights and for safe travel and protection during this time.

Please pray for the Women in Missions event to be held at Riverbend Bible Church this Saturday. There are a number of presenters from many places in the world and in New Zealand. Pray that those attending will be excited about what God is doing in the world today and respond to be partners in the call to mission.
