Hazel, El Salvador, writes; Please pray that I may continue to know that the Lord is directing me as I work in the middle of the gangs and their families. We now have to be so careful in every thing we say and in all our movements but the opportunities are great. Please pray for a 16 year old boy from the gangs who was in our Bible classes who has been missing for over a week.
John and Winsome, Asia, writes; Praise God for John's successful visit to China and Hong Kong. Many good contacts now and lots of information to process. Pray that we will know God's clear will and plan for the way ahead.
May, PNG, asks that you would please pray for the PNG MAF Conference at Goroka this weekend on the topic ‘Faithfulness’. Pray for energy, wisdom and graciousness for May as she helps with the pre-school programme during the Conference.
Howard and Monica, Mongolia, write; Good news. I had a favourable review from my Oncologist last week, my liver tests came back to normal after being very low! Thank you for praying. We are discussing a second School in Kabul close to our Eye clinic. This to be a High School for Pathan children. Pray for this if you can, for one month as it should be decided by then. Our other school is working well, named Glory High School, it is in both Dari and English, for Hazara children.
Colleen, India, writes; We would value special prayers for the Lord to provide money to finish the Tsunami Project. Our construction man Mr Bhaskar is going ahead with the plastering of the houses. Another 50 houses have been plastered. The Lord has seen to this project and we know He will not let us down. We want you to pray also for Baden who will be coming along with his team from Wanganui in October. Pray that we will be able to rejoice in seeing this project completed this year. The village people are so happy and we have a very wide open door for the Gospel. Pray for those who have already come to the Lord and for our staff who regularly visit the project site. Pray for Mr Bhaskar and for his salvation.
Neil and Philomena, Thailand, write; Praise the Lord for the chance to go to UK via Cairo where we will be staying with friends. Please pray for our time in the UK - for the logistics and for strength and clarity of message as we undertake deputation.
Bruce and Lee, Kenya, write; Bruce is having blood tests done to check for causes of his fatigue (which has lasted six months so far). Results are due on July 2nd; please pray for answers and wisdom. Prayers also welcome for wisdom regarding home assignment travel arrangements; Bruce has a course to teach in West Africa on the way back, so flying separately is cheaper but also means spending a month apart during that challenging transition time.
